Garden Birds

Here are some beautiful birds that Danny made. They can be used in your garden, or wherever you like! They are very sturdy when you stick them in the ground. If you wanted them for inside your home, Danny could make them suitable for that as well. They are a very reasonable price!

Round "Old Iron" Wall Art

Here is Danny's latest piece. He drew 4 designs for the customer to choose from and she chose this one. I love it! It's 24" diameter. I took a picture of it beside the candle sconce so you could get a good idea of how big it is.

Gate is Installed on River Front Property!

Here is the final product! It's been powder coated and installed. Now all the customer needs to do is put the lock box on it. They are searching for the best one they can find.

Below is a close up of the bottom left hand side of the gate. The customer asked for a hole specifically for the dog to squeeze through. This is the perfect size for that dog!! :)
Detail, detail, detail! The welds turned out so beautifully that there was no need to grind any of them down. That is not common. :)

A view from the inside looking out! Amazing!

GATE!!!

The material came in, and Danny began working on this gate yesterday at about 3:00 p.m. He worked straight through until 5:00 a.m., and went back to working on it at 10:00 a.m. Finally, around 6:00 p.m. today, it was complete, and passed the "dry fit" test!!!! Talk about wanting to please the customer!! :) This was amazing turn around time!

Here is the gate before taking it out of the shop... WOW. Danny had to climb up and down off of this table to weld several places. It looks beautiful.
The hole that the gate will fill:
Here is the frame of the gate. This gate is very unique. It's not Danny's design, but it's what the customer picked out. There is a door that gets placed inside the frame. It's not your typical gate.

Here is the door I was talking about...
Here is the entire piece. Frame and door, all crafted by Danny within a 24 hour time frame.

This particular customer is taking care of the powder coating and installation, so when that is complete I will post a picture of the final product.

Furniture in the works... Iron works that is.

These are two furniture pieces that Danny created for his apple lovin' customer. :)

Danny did not build the cabinet below, just the iron scroll work that is under it!
A close up of the scroll tips. Very defined.
The customer had an old stool that she wanted the top removed/redone. So Danny kept the base of the stool, and totally revamped the top, cutting off the previous seat and forging this new, raw metal (clear coated), COMFY seat. You would not believe how comfortable this seat is.

Steakhouse Railing - Commercial

One of the first jobs Danny was asked to do in Scottsville, KY was a handrail for the new steakhouse being built. This is a big deal, considering this was one of 3 sit down restaurants (that are halfway nice) in town! This town doesn't have an Outback, Chili's, Ruby Tuesdays, or anything like that. This is the one and only steakhouse. It turned out really nice!

Rails on the Square

Danny was asked to create all the railings for the Scottsville, KY square in the Fall of 2008. Here are some pictures of the process.

Here is the square before any rails were created.

Same point of view, with the first round of rails installed.

Here is a shot of the other side of the square:
Here is a before shot of the handicap ramp:Here is the handicap ramp railing installed: This was one of the more complicated rails, because of the radius. Working with the brick masons on the square, he had to make sure that the radius would match their work perfectly. The only set back to this job was having to wait for so many deadlines from the construction crew. It ended up taking about 3 months to complete, but what a beauty it was in the end. All in all, it was a very challenging yet rewarding job.

Montana Railings

Here are some rails Danny made in Helena, Montana while working for Artisan Iron Works. (July 2007)
