Phasing out the small stuff....

Okay so after much deliberation and prayer, we have decided to phase out the "small stuff" in our Etsy shop.  We have about 70 open orders, and we have had about 70 open orders for the last year...  We are doing our best to get the list narrowed down but unfortunately one blacksmith can only do the work of one blacksmith.  And, although we never hear negative feedback about the quality of craftsmanship, we do hear some complaints about the wait time.  Because we want all of our clients to be 100% satisfied with our shop, we would rather not have the little stuff available for purchase.  This will do two things: 1) reduce the amount of orders and 2) invite another crowd or type of clientele.  We expect that the new group of clientele will be more than glad to wait a few weeks for their very large order.  One of the great qualities about our business is that just about everything is custom order.  So if you order a bathroom set, and you want the towel bar to be 33 5/8" wide exactly, then it will be!  We don't know any other iron work company that offers that service.  We want to continue this for many years.

As of April 1, 2014, you'll no longer be able to order one toilet paper holder, or one towel ring, or one towel bar.  You'll either need to order the set, or you can email us and ADD a toilet paper holder, towel ring, or towel bar to your order.

In no way do we want to come across as if we don't appreciate the customers who order the individual pieces.  We love you !!  You have helped to build our company from one order a week to 20 orders a week!  This is amazing and we appreciate where we have come from and where we are going.

The last 3.5 years that we have been selling our hand forged ironwork on Etsy has been incredibly rewarding and we have learned so much.  We know we are still a teeny tiny business but this is our livelihood, and Danny no longer does odd jobs to support us.  We've been self employed, business owners since 2007, but it wasn't until 2011 that Danny was able to turn down small jobs.  This is a huge blessing!  We are so honored that God is growing our business.  Having four kids, and both of us being stay at home parents who work from home, and home schooling our kids together (beginning fall 2013), we have a lot on our plate!  Thanks for your continued support!
